Jazz needs a Man. #BDSM #spanking

Welcome to the MidWeek tease. Please click though the list and see what others have share.
Here's a tease from Sex, Scandal, and the Sheriff

Excerpt

She wished she’d paired up when the men were sniffing around women like dogs looking for the biggest bone, but the monkey-suited guys who thought they were God’s gift to women had made her flesh crawl. Well, the blond had been okay. The worst had been the dark-haired one who’d run one hand along her arm and the other over his crotch. In return, she’d rammed her three-inch heel into his foot. Pierced it, she hoped.
He’d sworn, raised his fist, and hopped around like a drunken kangaroo while she’d skedaddled across the room, but his glare had promised retribution. The encounter had left her shaken and distressed, eager to go home. No way would she lower her standards and make out with a creep like him. The blond she’d seen earlier, though, him she’d happily strip off for and screw, but he’d probably found another woman by now. If she hadn’t been so picky, he could be fucking her now. Regret made her frown.
In her imagination, a sexy stranger pulled her into a private room, tugged off her panties, and spanked her until she begged them to stop. Afterward, he’d fuck her hard. This cat-in-heat thing wasn’t her usual modus operandi, but the need boiling through her blood pushed her common sense aside.

If she hadn’t been such a prude earlier, she could be spreading her legs and begging some man to use her body any way he wanted. Sharing her secret desires with a stranger didn’t usually figure on her to-do list, but tonight she’d do almost anything for sex.

Tagline
Starting over in Westhorpe Ridge wouldn’t be easy, especially since she’d already enjoyed a spanking and a one-night stand with the sheriff.

Blurb

Jasmine Stewart (Jazz to her friends) falls for the blond stranger when he spanks and seduces her at a Washington soiree. Later, when she discovers her flatmate is trying to draw her into a spy ring, she goes to the authorities. The ensuing publicity costs her her job, her security, and her future. Starting over in Westhorpe Ridge is her only option.

Sean Mathews, former SEAL and Westhorpe Ridge’s sheriff, can’t forget the woman he spanked when he visited Washington, but he thinks she’s a spy. When she turns up in Westhorpe Ridge, he tries everything to make her leave town. Despite their misunderstandings, though, they can’t keep their hands off each other.

As Year’s Eve looms, the spy ring resurfaces. Jazz will need all of Sean’s SEAL prowess to survive. But because his wounded leg cost him his speed in the water, will it be enough?

Blurb:
The last thing nineteen-year-old Jeannie Cooper wants is to be a prim and proper lady, so when her older brothers try to send her off to finishing school she runs away from the family ranch to keep them from putting her on the train to Boston. She plans to hide out on the prairie and return in a few days, but things go horribly wrong when she stumbles upon the infamous Mullins gang.

Danny Coulter is a hardened gunslinger with more than enough enemies already, but when he sees a beautiful young woman held captive by outlaws his conscience forces him into action. Rescuing Jeannie turns out to be only the beginning of his troubles, however. Her sass and defiance quickly test the limits of his patience as he endeavors to get her home safely, and before long he is left with little choice but to take her over his knee for a sound spanking.

Though Danny's firm-handed discipline leaves her bottom sore and her cheeks blushing, Jeannie is nonetheless excited when her brothers offer him a job at the ranch. Soon he is courting her in earnest, and after a local busybody witnesses him giving Jeannie the first bare-bottom spanking of her life, Danny proposes marriage to avoid a scandal. But with the Mullins gang out for revenge, will his quick draw be enough to protect his woman?

She reached for his gun, to remove it from the holster, so she could wipe it clean, then she froze as she remembered exactly what Danny was. He was a gunfighter. A killer. Entirely the wrong type of man to be lusting after. Danny didn’t wear a gun just for protection, as she and her brothers sometimes did; his guns were a part of him. They defined him. Without his guns, Danny Coulter, the fastest gun in the west, would be nothing.
“Leave it.” His command was hoarse, there was pain in his voice, but there was no denying the dominant manner in which it was said. “You bandage me up, I’ll clean my gun. Nobody touches my guns.”
“It won’t take long to clean it.”
“I said leave it.” His fingers took hold of her chin then, and he tilted her face up to look at him. “You know what will happen if you disobey me.” His threat rumbled in her ear, sending waves of electricity through her. Yes, she knew exactly what would happen. Her buttocks clenched again, involuntarily, at the thought, and she held her breath. The air was too thick to breathe again. She could feel her face flushing as the waves of electricity surging through her reached that aching juncture between her thighs.
“You’re hurt,” she pointed out.
He smiled in spite of the pain, his eyes crinkling up at the corners as he looked down at her. “Not too hurt to spank a naughty girl who disobeys.” As if to prove his point, he drew back his hand and smacked her bottom, reigniting the burn Her eyes widened in shock as she reached back to rub out the sting. Hurt or not, his hard hand was still strong. She felt a spasm right in her very core at his touch. His dominance turned her insides to mush.
The hand that had smacked her returned to her chin and he tilted her face sideways slightly so he could whisper huskily in her ear. “So leave my guns alone.”

“Yes sir,” she breathed.

DARK BREW
A time travel romance

Learn from the past or forever be doomed to repeat it.

Accused of her husband’s murder, Kylah McKinley, a practicing Druid, travels back through time to her past life in 1324 Ireland and brings the true killer to justice.

Two months of hell change Kylah’s life forever. On her many past life regressions, she returns to 14th century Ireland as Alice Kyteler, a druid moneylender falsely accused of murdering her husband. Kylah’s life mirrors Alice’s in one tragic event after another—she finds her husband sprawled on the floor, cold, blue, with no pulse. Evidence points to her, and police arrest her for his murder. Kylah and Alice shared another twist of fate—they fell in love with the man who believed in them. As Kylah prepares for her trial and fights to maintain her innocence, she must learn from her past or forever be doomed to repeat it.

An interview with Diana about Dark Brew

Where did the story come from?
The story took 12 years from start to finish. I’m a longtime member of the Richard III Society, and in the spring of 2004, I read an article in The Ricardian Register by Pamela Butler, about Alice Kyteler, who lived in Kilkenny, Ireland in 1324, and faced witchcraft charges. After her trial and acquittal, she vanished from the annals of history. I couldn't resist writing a book about her.

How did you decide to make it a paranormal?
I’m a believer in reincarnation, and I go on paranormal investigations whenever I can. I’ve gone on several past life regressions. Cape Cod has a lot of history and paranormal activity. I’ve been on many ghost walks and ghost hunts there. I wanted to connect Alice in the past with someone in the present, her reincarnation.

Was Alice Kyteler famous in 14th century Ireland?
Not at all but she was the richest woman in Kilkenny, and for that reason the villagers hated her, especially the men. They accused her of killing her first husband, but she was acquitted. Then they accused her of killing her fourth husband, John LePoer, with witchcraft, the accusations more absurd than those of the 1692 witch hysteria in Salem, Massachusetts. Chancellor Edward de Burgh arrested Alice because her stepsons claimed she had murdered John by casting a witch’s spell with malefecia…and she used the enchanted skull of a beheaded thief as her cauldron.
She went to trial and her dear friend Michael Artson had her acquitted, but she vanished into the annals of history. According to legend, she went to England. But no one knows for sure.

Why did you make it a time travel?
Because my heroine, Kylah McKinley, is a druid and has done many past life regressions, she knows she’s the reincarnation of Alice. So she has to go back and find out what happened to Alice, because too many weird things are happening to her in this life that parallel Alice’s life.
Kylah lives on my beloved Cape Cod. She’s a druid, a ghost hunter and owns a new age store in a restored Revolutionary War-era tavern. She was also the target of a hit-and-run. Another hit-and-run crippled her husband Ted. That’s no coincidence—she’s convinced someone’s out to get them both.

She brews an ancient Druid herb mixture, goes back in time and enters Alice’s life to find out exactly what happened and who killed her husband.
These two months of hell change her life forever. As Kylah prepares for her trial and fights to maintain her innocence, she must learn from her past or she’s doomed to repeat it.

Have you ever spoken to Pamela Butler, who wrote the article about Alice?
Yes, we’ve corresponded. She lives in New Mexico, so we’ve never met in person. I asked Pam what inspired her to write about Alice. I’d never heard of Alice until I read her article, “Witchcraft & Heresy. She replied:
“You asked why I wrote about Alice Kyteler, who preceded Richard by a century-and-a-half. I only wrote it because others on the listserv encouraged me to write about witchcraft, a subject about which I knew very little. I ordered three books from Amazon.com on the subjects of witchcraft, heresy, Satanism, etc. for research reasons. That was my basis, plus I searched the Internet. The Malleus Malleficarum was published in 1487, just two years after Richard's death, so it's almost contemporary. I chanced across Alice in this reading and thought that it was an interesting case. Witch burning was fairly rare in Ireland, and wasn't as bad in England at that time as it had been on the Continent. I wish that the M.M. had never been published; still, the fact that it was published and accepted may reveal the mindset of those times.”

An excerpt from Dark Brew

Kylah shut Ted’s den door. She couldn’t bear to look at the spot where he gasped his last breath. His presence, an imposing force, lingered. So did his scent, a blend of tobacco, pine aftershave and manly sweat. Each reminder ripped into her heart like a knife. Especially now with the funeral looming ahead, the eulogies, the mournful organ hymns, the tolling bells . . .
These ceremonies should bring closure, but they’d only prolong the agony of her grief. She wanted to remember him alive for a while longer, wishing she could delay these morbid customs until the hurt subsided.
Throughout the house, his essence echoed his personality: the wine stain on the carpet, the heap of dirty shirts, shorts and socks piled up in the laundry room, the spattered stove, his fingerprints on the microwave. But she couldn’t bring herself to clean any of it up. Painful as these remnants were, they offered a strange comfort. He still lived here.

“I’ll find that murderer, Teddy,” she promised him over and over, wandering from room to empty room, traces of him lurking in every corner. “I’ll do everything in my power to make sure justice is served. Another past life regression isn’t enough anymore. I know what I have to do now. And I promise, it will never, ever happen again—in any future life.”

She inhaled deeply and breathed him in. “Go take a shower, Teddy.” She chuckled through her tears as the doorbell rang. She cringed, breaking out in cold sweat when she saw the black sedan at the curb.

“Not again.” No sense in hiding, so she let the detectives in.

“Mrs. McKinley, we need your permission to do a search and take some of your husband’s possessions from the house,” Nolan said.

“What for?” She met his steely stare. “I looked everywhere and found nothing.”

“Mrs. McKinley, the cupboard door was open, four jars of herbs are missing, and the autopsy showed he died of herb poisoning. Those herbs,” Nolan added for emphasis, as if it had slipped her feeble mind. “Foxglove, mandrake, hemlock—and an as-yet unidentified one,” he read from a notebook. “The M.E. determined it was a lethal dose.”

Sherlock Holmes got nothin’ on him, she thought.

“Where’s this cupboard, ma’am?” Egan spoke up.

“Right there.” She pointed, its door gaping exactly the way she’d found it that night. Nolan went over to it and peered inside.
“Ma’am, it would be better if you left the house for a half hour or so. Please leave a number where you can be reached,” Egan ordered.
Nolan glanced down the hall. “Where is your bedroom?”
What could they want in the bedroom? “It’s at the top of the stairs on the right. But we didn’t sleep together,” she offered, as if that would faze them. It didn’t.
After giving him her cell number, she got into her car and drove to the beach.
An hour later, she let herself back in and looked around. They’d taken the computer, her case of CDs, her thumb drive, her remaining herb jars, Ted’s notebooks, and left her alone with one horrible fact: This was now a homicide case and she was the prime suspect.

A Recipe to Try While Reading DARK BREW

DARK BREW is set on modern-day Cape Cod, when Kylah isn’t traveling back in time to 1324 Ireland. I have a home on the Cape, and spend as much time there as I can when the weather cooperates. The Cape Cod Irish Village is a restaurant/pub/hotel where my husband and I have been going for many years. We have a traditional Irish dinner there and dance up a storm to the live Irish music they always have. I mention the Irish Village in DARK BREW and their great Irish cuisine.

Traditional Irish fare has been a long-standing theme at the Irish Village where Chef Chris Lynch has headed the kitchen for the better part of 16 years. New American cuisine with a slant on old Irish staples is how Chef Lynch would characterize the menu at the Irish Village. Having spent many years honing his craft in kitchens all across the Northeast, Chris realized that most of the guests who come to the Cape and have frequented the Irish Village for decades in some cases want to feel at home and his team tries to match the daily specials to their memories of meals taken at the tables of their own families. Simple and plentiful is a formula that has kept many repeat customers coming back to the Village year after year.

Here’s a recipe from Chris for “Breadan Eireann”

This recipe serves 4 people

Preheat oven to 375 degrees
4 ea. – 6oz Salmon Fillet
4 ea. – Jumbo Shrimp
12 oz. – medium sea scallops
4 cups mashed potato
1 cup sauteed onions & mushrooms, sliced thin
6 oz. dry sherry
8 oz. clarified butter

DIRECTIONS

In a baking dish or in individual casserole dishes arrange salmon, scallops & shrimp closely together.  Pipe mashed potatoes around salmon and seafood encircling all of the fish.  Pour 1 ½ oz. of sherry and 2 oz. of butter over the fish and potatoes.  Bake in oven for approximately 20 minutes or until salmon flakes under the touch.  Remove and top with ¼ cup sautéed onions & mushrooms.  Return to oven for 2-3 minutes to finish browning the potatoes and to heat the onions & mushrooms.  Serve immediately.

#RomanticIdea:

Cook an authentic Italian meal, cheese ravioli with marinara sauce, garlic bread, a salad with Italian olive oil, a fine Italian red wine, and a sweet gelato for dessert. Then put on some Sinatra CDs and dance the night away!
My favorite Sinatra album is Come Dance With Me
We always had Sinatra playing in my house when I was growing up. Nearly everyone from Hoboken or anywhere near Hoboken has a Sinatra story; being from Jersey City, I have a Sinatra story: my great grandmother and his mother Dolly were very good friends. Unfortunately I never asked Great Grandma about what she and Dolly talked about but I’ll bet a lot of juicy gossip went around!

Her Alien Commander - by Ashe Barker #eroticromance #ashebarker #discipline #dominance #spanking #sci-fi #bdsm

It's my pleasure to share a book by Ashe Barker, a good friend of mine. Please check this out.

Published by Stormy Night

  • Released 2 September 2016
  • Sci-fi erotic romance
  • Approximately 64,000 words
  • HEA ending

Blurb

After leaving Earth on what she thought would be an adventure, Caria Montgomery quickly ends up in way over her head. Captured by hostile aliens, she faces the prospect of perishing on an isolated planet until she is rescued by Commander Phahlen Verdar and his crew.

Phahlen is delighted to have a human female aboard his ship. In the years since the women of his own world were nearly wiped out by a terrible plague, taking a mate has become all but impossible for most males of his species, and he doesn’t plan to let this opportunity pass him by. His plan to claim Caria is aided by the fact that, due to the unsavoury nature of the crew of the ship on which she was travelling, she is now a wanted fugitive back on Earth.

Though Caria is initially defiant, a sound spanking on her bare bottom demonstrates her admittedly handsome future mate’s resolve. His bold dominance awakens an intense need within her, and before long she finds herself yearning for the pleasure of his masterful lovemaking. But is she truly prepared to surrender herself fully to her alien commander, or will she seek to return to Earth and clear her name as soon as possible?

Publisher’s Note: Her Alien Commander includes spankings and sexual scenes. If such material offends you, please don’t buy this book.

Author Interview
This is entirely optional, but if you want to make a more individual post, please feel free to select up to 6 Q&As to include – your choice which ones you use.

  1. Who or what was the inspiration for Caria? Is she anything like you?
Well I’ve never joined a crew of space pirates and raided inter-stellar craft, but I might if the opportunity arose. I suppose Caria is something of an adventurer, and I’m a bit like that too. She tends to jump in with both feet, then worry about the consequences later. In Her Alien Commander she is often impetuous, but she has a streak of bloody-minded determination too, which I admire. The odds might be stacked against her, but she doesn’t give up.

  1. So, tell us a bit more about Phahlen. He’s stern and sexy, with a twitchy palm, but what else is there to know? - RS
Well, I think you just about covered the basics there. Phahlen has a strong sense of duty, and of justice, though Caria may not think so, at least not at first. He knows what he wants from her, but he takes care of her too. He saves her life at the start of the book, and it’s Phahlen who finds a solution to the problem of her criminal past. He’s always there when she needs him, though it takes her a while to appreciate his finer qualities.

  1. How many books have you written? Are they all spanking fiction?
I think I have about forty titles out now, and they are all erotic stories. Some are more BDSM themed and some are spanking/domestic discipline. At first I wrote just contemporary stories, then I started adding a few historicals as well. Her Alien Commander is my first sci-fi and I loved writing it.

  1. Why do you enjoy writing sci-fi?
Because I love the idea of playing God. I can create just the world(s) I want, set up whatever social system suits my story, and craft the most amazing characters. The usual laws of physics, time, and cultural behavior don’t count so the story-telling can be much more creative and inventive in an alternative universe. Stories which might be really controversial if written as a contemporary romance can be ‘cloaked’ in a sci-fi.

  1. What advice would you have for writers who decide to try their hand at erotica?
I’d tell them to have a go, but to have a decent thesaurus to hand. And an internet connection. Youtube is the erotica writer’s friend.
  1. Do you see writing as a career?
Yes. I try to be fairly ordered about it. I like to be at my desk (well, more accurately the kitchen table) laptop fired up and coffee to hand, by nine in the morning and I tend to write for most of the day then. There are also a lot of related tasks to keep on top of, mainly to do with promo or research, or keeping in touch with readers and other authors. It’s definitely a full-time job for me.

  1. Do you recall how your interest in writing originated?
I think it was always there, though I only started writing properly about three years ago. I have always tended to plot stories in my head though, often when sitting in traffic jams on my daily commute. I now work at home so all that time spent inhaling exhaust fumes is finally paying off.

  1. If you could have been told one thing that you weren't told when you were a teenager, what would you like to have heard?
I was given lots of advice as a teenager, much of it unsolicited and not especially good. I think we all have to make our own mistakes, but hopefully I haven’t made the same mistake to many times. That would be sad.
Looking back, I think the most important thing I picked up along the way was that we all have choices, all the time. We’re entitled to choose our own way in life, but we should also be ready to own and accept the consequences of our decisions.
Someone once invited me to cast my mind forward to a time perhaps sixty years from now when I’ll be long-gone and my daughter (currently eighteen) is herself entering old age. Imagine she’s talking to her grandchildren, telling them about me. What would I like her to be saying? My actions now, today, will dictate what those obituaries might be so don’t leave it until later to be the sort of person you want to be remembered as.

  1. If you had to describe yourself using three words, it would be…
Resilient. Creative. Calm.

  1. What would you do if you were the last person on this earth?
Turn out the lights.

  1. If you were to write a book about yourself, what would you name it?
I think at some level or other they are all a little bit about me. I could never write a book about a heroine I didn’t actually like or identify with in some way. Maybe I’d call my autobiography Made a Difference, because I hope that would be true. Perhaps that should be on my gravestone rather than a book cover, come the day.

  1. What's your favorite love story? (movie or book)
I adore Love Actually and I can’t count how many times I’ve seen that movie. It has lots of love stories all rolled up and woven into each other, but I think perhaps my favourite is the one featuring Hugh Grant.
I also remember reading Katherine by Anya Seton many years ago, and I’ve never forgotten the magic that shimmers between Katherine and her hero, John of Gaunt. Their lifetime love affair is set against the dramatic backdrop of medieval England, a period I also like to write about.

EXCERPT (18+)
Phahlen rolled onto his back, carrying Caria with him so she ended up draped across his torso, her legs straddling his much longer limbs. His cock was still deep inside her. He wrapped one arm around her slender back and with his other hand he cupped the back of her head. He lifted his head to kiss her hair.
“So, little human, you survived after all?”
She made a sound that might have been a snort.
Phahlen dropped a playful slap on her bottom. “Have you forgotten so soon what I told you about respect and insubordination?”
She lifted her face from his chest. “You still scared me. Shitless.”
“I know. I am sorry it had to be that way.”
“You can… I mean, you’re still…”
“Still inside you. Ah, yes, there was something I needed to mention about that.”
She shoved herself up on her elbows. “What?”
“I understand human males tend to—subside—after they’ve come. And that they can only find their release once, then they need a period of rest before performing again.”
“Yes,” agreed Caria. “That’s right.”
“Vahleans are less … flimsy.”
“Flimsy,” she echoed. “What do you mean, less flimsy?”
“I mean, we remain erect for much longer. As long as we choose to, pretty much. And after we ejaculate, our cocks actually swell and harden more, particularly at the head. It prevents us separating from our partner for a while.”
“A while?” Caria’s expression was perplexed. “How much of a while?”
He affected a shrug. “An hour or so. Perhaps longer. Of course, if I decide to fuck you some more it could take most of the day.”
“All day? You could continue to fuck me, the entire day?”
“A delightful prospect, now you come to mention it. I hope no emergency calls me away to attend to the needs of my ship. That would be a pity.”
“All day?” she parroted.
“Yes, little human. All fucking day.”
“But, I’ll get sore. It’s already… that thing in my bum…”
“Ah, yes. Allow me.” He slid his fingers down the crevasse between her cheeks until he reached her anus. He grasped the protruding end of the toy and drew it from her body. A quick flick of the control killed the humming, and he dropped it over the side of the bed.
“It can be your task to clean that off, later. Make sure you do a good job because you’d like me to use it again, wouldn’t you?”
Caria ignored his remark. She appeared to be having difficulty grasping his earlier comment. “All day?” she whispered.
“And all night. Not that those divisions mean much in space. I do intend to enjoy your company though, little human, and I think perhaps you’ve begun to realise you might actually enjoy mine.”
Caria dropped her gaze and rested her chin on his sternum. Neither spoke for several minutes. Phahlen was content to let her assimilate these new facts as he savoured the gentle pressure of her quivering pussy walls around his rock-solid cock. Unless she really was too sore to continue, he intended to roll her onto her back again and—
“Why?” Caria’s question disturbed his thoughts.
“Why what?”
“Why this, this…” Apparently lost for the correct word, she settled for squeezing her cunt around him.
“Ah, this. It’s an evolutionary device, I understand. It serves to increase fertility, maximising the likelihood of conception because it forces the female to remain stationary, and prone, until the male decides to let her go. I believe it will serve my purposes well.”
“Don’t you get bored?”
“I beg your pardon?”
“Just lying here? Don’t you get bored?”
“For fuck’s sake, little wench, you have a lot to learn about Vahlean sexuality. And your own too, I daresay. I can assure you, boredom won’t be an issue.”
“But—”
He’d heard enough, and his cock had too. Phahlen shifted, tossing Caria onto the mattress and rolling on top of her. He would have instructed her to wrap her legs around him again, but she did it before he could speak. He grasped her still bound wrists and raised them above her head, pinning them with one hand while the other roamed her breasts. His most urgent needs already met, he took his time. Phahlen explored her at his leisure, teasing her taut peaks, her soft hollows.
“Sir, please stop. Please, I can’t bear it…”
He released her nipple to look up at her. “Caria…?”
Her eyes were closed, her mouth tight. “I need to come. Now. I need you to fuck me. Don’t make me wait.”
“As you wish, little Earth wench.” He drew back his hips and speared his cock deep inside her again. “Just as you wish.”
